1st draft results of the WordsWorth Literacy Programme research project show students whose parents work collaboratively on WordsWorth show dramatic improvements. WordsWorth connects students, teachers, SLT’s, SNA’s & Parents – it’s a collaborative web based literacy tool that gets very impressive results!
After only seven one-hour WordsWorth Literacy Programme sessions (since September 2011), T’s literacy skills were re-assessed.
Her reading accuracy skills went from below the 1st percentile to the 70th percentile, her reading comprehension skills went from the 2nd percentile to the 95th percentile.
T’s spelling age moved from 7:04 years to 17:10 years!
